DDW is no longer accepting applications for the Basic Science Travel Award. Applicants were notified by email in late March. To see a list of the 2017 winners, please visit the DDW Blog.
DDW awarded up to 20 Basic Science Travel Awards for the 2017 meeting. Selected authors of basic science abstracts received a $1,000 travel grant and will be recognized at a reception during DDW.
Candidates for the award had to be listed as the first or presenting author of a basic science abstract accepted for presentation at DDW 2017. Additionally, candidates needed to be currently enrolled or within three years of completing their training programs. Residents and fellows were eligible to be considered for the award and were also encouraged to apply. Candidates were not required to be a member of any of the four sponsoring societies.
