Abstracts successfully submitted for consideration for presentation at Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) are peer-reviewed and ranked on the basis of scientific merit by experts in the category selected. All abstracts are blinded during the review and scoring processes. Sponsoring society program committees use abstract scores and rankings to develop the final meeting program and select abstracts for oral, poster, or video presentation at DDW.
In the previous year, abstracts were submitted by authors from the U.S. and over 60 other countries. Approximately 70 percent of the submitted abstracts were accepted for presentation.
