Digestive Disease Week® 2017 was the Largest International Meeting in Gastroenterology and Hepatology

  

Bethesda, MD (June 26, 2017) — Highlighting the most relevant, up-to-date and cutting-edge science, Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) is the largest international gathering of physicians, researchers and academics in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy and gastrointestinal surgery, and 2017 saw a successful meeting. DDW is jointly sponsored by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Institute, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT). 

Recognized as a top 50 medical meeting, DDW 2017 brought together 19,092 registrants from 150 countries, including meeting attendees, exhibitors and guests. The meeting provides a venue for scientists and clinicians to attend sessions and learn from their colleagues and peers through special lectures and 5,400 abstract-based poster and oral presentations. This science presented during DDW represents the latest discoveries on digestive health.
 

Attendees had the opportunity to visit the DDW Exhibit Hall where they were able to speak with 291 exhibiting companies at 303 exhibit booths. At total of 109,200 footage was sold during DDW 2017.
