Airports

Chicago is North America’s ultimate global business destination. As such, Chicago offers two major airports for its travelers:

  1. O’Hare International Airport (ORD), the 2nd busiest airport in the US and the world’s 4th, is just 20 miles from downtown Chicago with convenient connections by train, bus or car.
  2. Midway International Airport (MDW), Chicago’s original airport, is only 8 miles from the downtown Loop and offers a variety of low-cost carriers, such as Southwest Airlines, Frontier Airlines and AirTran Airways.  It can be accessed by car on the Stevenson Expressway or by rail on the Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) Orange Line.
